Casa Vieja Lodge welcomes Capt. Ron Hamlin to their team. In February of 2009 Capt. Ron Hamlin takes control of the “Buddy Boy,” a fully restored 43ft Merritt, formerly called "Nany". Capt. Hamlin is familiar with this boat, as it was called the "Prowess" back in the 70’s and it was from this platform that his client caught the first grander Atlantic blue marlin record that still stands. Capt. Hamlin has released 25,000 plus billfish in his career, 80% of which were released in Guatemalan waters.
